Polyethylene film
«NEVAPOLIMER» produces high-quality polyethylene film and wholesale of film produced in-house.

The production of film is carried out using modern equipment and high-quality raw materials. In our company you can purchase the following types of polyethylene films:

  • transparent PE film;
  • coloured PE film;
  • black & white PE film;
  • light- stabilized PE film;
  • PEfilmforlamination.

Transparent Polyethylene film

Transparent PE film is produced from high-pressure polyethylene by coextrusion. Polyethylene film is produced in the form of a sleeve 650-1650 mm width, semi-sleeve (320-1650 mm) and canvas (300-1650 mm).

The thickness of film is 25-120 µm

All products in «NEVAPOLIMER» are made using one of the most modern types of equipment and the best native and foreign raw materials.

By client’s request the film can be made with different additions (for example, light-stabilized film) that improve its consumer properties. Testing protocols are provided.

  • Polyethylene film has the following properties:
  • elasticity and transparence;
  • water- and water viper impermeability;
  • heatretention.

The Range of polyethylene film application is very diverse: construction, packaging, everyday purposes. But they have the highest popularity in agriculture.

Polyethylene film in packaging of furniture, leather goods, toys, etc.

Due to its big canvas width the PE film is also called “pallet film” and used for packaging  lots of goods in pallets.

Light- stabilized film CT-3

Light- stabilized film CT-3 is smooth polyethylene film. This film is notable for its high resistance to ultraviolet, due to the presence of light stabilizers in the composition of the film.

Light-stabilized film differs from ordinary PE films by its light-apricot colour. After definite period of time the pigment fades under the influence of ultraviolet, but the film doesn’t lose its properties.

  • High level of ultraviolet rays resistance;
  • Ability to retain heat is 3-5 degrees higher ( in comparison with ordinary films);
  • water- and water viper impermeability;
  • elasticity and transparence;
  • allows to quicken the process of vegetables ripening  and to increase the crop capacity;
  • minimizes contents of nitrates;
  • increases  contents of carotene and vitamin C;
  • period of operation of CT-3 light-stabilized film is up to 3 years.

Due to its properties, light-stabilized film is actively used in agriculture. The film is used as walls in the rooms used for growing crops - hotbeds and greenhouses. Using CT-3 film in agriculture helps to protect plants in hotbeds and greenhouses from sunburns.

Using the film containing light stabilizers allows to save a significant amount of money. The film stands out by its high performance qualities. Light stabilizers do not fully stop the process of ageing of metal, but slow it down significantly. For this reason polyethylene film CT-3 (if carefully used) can serve up to 3 years, and if it is removed for the winter season – up to 4-5 years. For increasing efficiency of the light-stabilized film the frames of the greenhouse or hotbed should be coloured in light tones. The period of efficient use of the material depends on the type of hotbeds and greenhouses and on the weather.

More seldom light-stabilized film is used for packaging and storing goods that will stay for a long time under the direct sunrays.

Coloured film

Coloured film is made of high-pressure polyethylene with addition of foreign dyes

Available colours: blue, green, red, white, black, black & white, other colours are made to order.

  • Elastic
  • Waterproof
  • vapourproof

The thickness of coloured films id 25-120 µm

Coloured film with various properties (colour, thickness etc.) is made to order.

Packaging: all coloured films are applied as packaging material, allowing to differ goods of different groups. Also black& white film has a unique quality: reflecting heat, it allows to preserve the temperature of the packed product unchanged and makes the product opaque.

Agriculture: coloured films are used for hotbeds and greenhouses as a mulching layer, suppress the growth of weeds, improve the temperature regime, prevent evaporation of moisture from the soil, used as cover material for long-time storage of hay.

Construction: coloured films are widely used in construction as a cover material, material for construction of temporary awnings, tents, upholstering shower cabins, decorations etc.

Black film

Black film is stabilized polymer film (the so-called geomembrane). The film is produced on basis of high-pressure polyethylene.

  • Guarantees protection from light, water condensate and moisture
  • Elasticity
  • Durability
  • Allows to protect different surfaces from corrosion
  • Simplicity of use
  • Thickness 80-120 µm

Black film can also be used in gardening. It is able to absorb sunrays and warm up to 58C. Also the film is able to preserve high moisture of the soil, which is provided by waterproofing properties of the material. Despite the warming up of the surface, the layer of air between the film and the soil protects the soil from warming.

Black film can be used for keeping the heat inside the soil, for example after the rain and in early spring. If you use the film you can forget about the weeds- they lack light. It’s interesting that the efficiency of black film is sometimes higher than of herbicides, because it is not selective to the types of weeds, but it is ecological.

Mulching with black film guarantees fruit quality improvement and an increase in crop capacity. Moreover the usage of film promotes the quick growth of saplings.

Also black film is used in gardening for silo pits as a 150 µm canvas.

Thermocontractable film

When heated the film shrinks and tightly covers any goods packed with it.

«NEVAPOLIMER» produces thermocontractable film in semisleeve, sleeve and canvas. The thickness of thermocontractable film is 30-120 µm. We produce smooth as well as perforated thermocontractable film.

  • Elasticity
  • Ability not to leak
  • Transparency
  • High mechanical strength
  • Ability to prevent water condensate (perforated thermocontractable film)
  • Under the influence of high temperatures has the ability to easily change its linear dimensions and gain the form of packed goods.
  • Ability to minimize the size of packaging due to tight covering of the packed goods
  • Low price
  • Looks more attractive as packaging material then cardboard boxes.

Longitudinal shrinkage, % 75 to 78

Cross-shrinkage, % 25 to 45 (by request)

Thermocontractable film is used in different spheres of industry for stack, group and individual packaging.

Guarantees protection from different outer influences, comfortable storing and transportation as well as quality protection from substitution and illegal unsealing.

Perforated thermocontractable film is often used for protecting goods from water condensate and vapour (during packing hot goods for example).

Black and white film for agriculture purposes

Black and white film – 3-layer polyethylene film (one side- black and the other – white), produced using coextrusion from high-pressure polyethylene and compositions on is basis, containing dyes and stabilizators.

This film was first processed in Arabic countries for cultivating different crops using hydroponic soils indoors. The plants were planted in bags made of black and white film filled with special substrate. Dripping watering method with nutrient solution was used.  In Russia the black and white film is used it the most leading agricultural companies, for example AOZT “Belaya dacha” in Moscow, ASHO “Teplichnoye” in Severodvinsk.

  • The popularity of three-layer polyethylene films is due to their unique properties such as the ability to combine different films with different properties.
  • Non-transparent and elastic;
  • Water- and vapour-proof;
  • Light-reflecting effect;
  • High mechanical strength.

Packaging of black and white polyethylene film

Film type: black and white UV-radiation resistant film

Width, length and thickness of the black and white film – by request.

Two-layer black and white film is used by gardeners in hotbeds and greenhouses.

The film is put on the ground white side up, the saplings are planted through the film. Due to the reflecting qualities of the white surface the amount of light falling on the plants in the hotbed increases and the soil never heats to the critical temperature that can damage the root system.

Due to the black layer the film fights with the weeds and plays the role of the mulching layer. Transparent films while heating the soil stimulate the growth of weeds which can decrease the useful effect from mulching a lot. Black film is the most efficient in fighting with weeds, mold doesn’t appear under it.

Coextrusive three-layer black and white film for packaging milk and dairy products

Coextrusive black and white films have a number of advantages. Every layer in the film has its function:

Perfectly white with a glossy shine outer layer makes the package look attractive, emphasizing the saturation of the coloured design. Special admixtures are added to this layer, increasing the sliding of the film which is important for the work on contemporary packing equipment;

The middle layer protects the contents from the visible light;

The inner (thermosealing) layer due to special additions (linear and metallocene polyethylenes)provides high strength and excellent quality ofthewelded seam. The black pigment of this layer makes the film absolutely light-proof and protects the contents from ultraviolet rays, and so decreases their devastating effect on the packed goods, not letting the milk fat turn rancid. This allows to prolong the shelf life of the dairy products.

Owning to the using of polymer materials the film welds perfectly in a wide range of temperatures which makes the welding process easy and economical, sufficiently decreasing the expences on defects caused by leaks of dairy products because of poor-quality seams on the automatic filling machine.

Film for lamination

Films for lamination are used for joining several layers of material, for example cloth, foil, film or paper. The films are widely used as a protection of the coloured layer of packaging from damage and abrasion and exclude the smallest contact of the coloured layer with the product as well. For packing food the film for lamination can be used as a thermosealing layer and barrier film.

Film for lamination is distinguished by elasticity, high breakage strength and a balance of properties such as sliding and weldability. Moreover, the combination of additions allows obtaining good optical properties of the film.

  • Excellent adhesive properties made by activating the surface of the film (treatment by coronary discharge)
  • Good optical properties
  • Increased physic-mechanical properties
  • Stability to low temperatures
  • Homogeneity
  • Transparency and shine
  • Weldability (wide range of temperatures)
